    Meet Yannick, a passionate fermentation enthusiast, and learn how to prepare your own kimchi! 

    First of all, Yannick will take the time to tell you about his background and what attracted him to the mysterious art of fermentation, as well as all that it offers. With a great flair for teaching, he will explain the basic principles and will allow you to sample some of his creations. 

    Then, together you will prepare the vegetables required for the kimchi recipe, in particular, cabbage! After this, he will guide you, step by step, through the process of adding the ingredients to the jar. 

    Following this workshop, which is all conducted in a friendly and light-hearted style, you will have to leave Yannick and his friendly demeanour behind, but not without your own pot of kimchi to enjoy at home!

    Workshop location

    Yannick's workshop is located a few minutes' walk from the Pannenhuis metro station (line 6) and the Dieudonné Lefèvre bus stop (line 88).

    This place is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

    Practical information

    The workshop is not heated, and for good reason! Yannick and his team ferment the lactos at room temperature and they don't want to rush these fermentations. The workshop varies between 15 and 25 degrees throughout the year. Dress warmly!

    Super atelier avec Adeline!! Quel plaisir de rencontrer une personne passionnée par son boulot…. Des explications précises venant d’une chimiste de formation. Trois heures de voyage… trois heures ou l’on est complètement ailleurs.. j’ai adoré et je retournerai volontiers à un atelier.

    Did the atelier yesterday evening 11/02/2026 - it was a full house, Adeline did an amazing job explaining about fermenting, bringing me back to great early child memories. We had a super group of people, great atmosphere, would definitely recommend this. I am dutch spoken but Adeline made sure that everyone in the group regardless of our native language understood everything and joined in!

    Atelier extra extra 👌 Introduction par Yannick, enchainement avec Adeline qui nous a guidé avec enthousiasme et bienveillance à travers toutes les étapes de préparation du kimchi. Un atelier manuel avec la satisfaction de mettre la main à la pâte, et un résultat visible à goûter à la maison d'ici une trentaine de jours. Le plus difficile.... faire preuve de patience et attendre avant de pouvoir goûter au fruit de notre travail collectif 😄 Merci à toute l'équipe et bravo pour cet espace dans lequel la convivialité et la joie de transmettre fermentent à plein régime 🤩

    Leuke workshop! Adeline sprak slechts een mondje Nederlands, maar nam tijd om te vertalen in het Engels. Ze was heel begaan met de hele groep en men kon veel vragen stellen. Een heel aangename ervaring die ik iedereen zou aanraden!
