Discover an ancient art and forge your own straight knife with blacksmith Robin!

Join him for a unique day of initiation to the world of forging and cutlery. Under the guidance of an experienced knife maker, you will craft your own custom-made knife from scratch, entirely by hand.

Robin will start by giving you a tour of his workshop and introducing you to the materials and tools used, such as the hammer, anvil, and forge. You will then choose the shape of your blade and handle from a variety of existing models and learn the basic techniques of forging and cutlery.

During this initiation day, remember to bring your own lunch that you will eat while spending a privileged moment with the knifemaker.

Next, you will be introduced to the first gestures of a knifemaker by shaping the metal and tempering the blade. Here, you will learn all about the properties of steel and how it reacts to heat or the strike of a hammer. Finally, you will sharpen your knife and proudly take home a one-of-a-kind creation, full of emotion and memories.

This is an opportunity not to be missed to learn an ancient skill!

Très belle journée en compagnie d'un passionné de la ferronnerie. On apprend beaucoup de chose sur les techniques de forge, on pratique et on repart avec son propre couteau. Une journée qui passe comme une flèche et riche en apprentissage.

Excelente journée passée avec Robin et autres enthousiastes de la coutellerie. Notre maître forgeron est accessible et didactique, il met l'emphase sur la sécurité quand nécessaire et nous guide tout au long, avec des explications pratiques et théoriques.
