Explore the wines of the Rhône Valley with Clarisse and discover the differences between terroirs in a playful and interactive way. This oenology workshop allows you to compare various wines and deepen your tasting knowledge.

Workshop outline:

• Introduction and background: Clarisse introduces the different stages of wine tasting and the fundamentals of oenology. Discover the history and specific characteristics of wines from the Northern Rhône Valley, Ardèche and the Southern Rhône Valley.

• Comparative tasting: taste 6 wines selected for the workshop: 3 whites and 3 reds from the Rhône Valley, along with additional wines from partner estates Clarisse works with. The aim is to compare the wines, identify aromatic profiles and understand the influence of terroir.

• Blind tasting: some wines are served in black glasses to train you to identify them using only your nose and palate. You then move on to clear glasses to observe the colour and complete the sensory experience.

• Analysis and discussion: after each tasting, Clarisse guides you through analysing the differences between the wines, discussing grape variety characteristics and understanding the impact of terroir and winemaking methods.

At the end of the workshop, you can taste the rest of the cuvées and enjoy the opportunity to purchase bottles from other partner winegrowers.
