The workshop in detail
Welcome to Thierry's beautiful urban winery!
During this 1.5-hour visit, you will discover the history of the company while walking along the pathway of vats and barrels...
Thierry will be happy to explain the entire process they use to produce their organic wines!
Then, with a nice glass in hand, you will taste a selection of various house wines. The winemaker will accompany you during the tasting, providing guidance with regard to the practices and techniques.
You will leave this visit with your taste buds fully awakened!
This workshop is available in several languages. You can find in the calendar the slots in French, English or Dutch.

Thierry and Geoffroy's urban wine cellar is very close to the Pannenhuis metro station (line 6), in front of the BE-HERE. It is located in the Greenbizz Brussels building, workshop 37.8.

Meet Thierry
Winemakers
At the heart of Brussels, there is magic at work down in Thierry's cellar!
A former printer and a true enthusiast, he chose the proximity offered by the urban winery to share his passion with as many people as possible! This winemaker only works with organic produce and is 100% committed to the Brussels circular economy by recycling and reusing wine "waste", with the help of other artisans.
Thierry manages Gudule, which is officially the first urban winery in Brussels! Gudule? - the patron saint of Brussels of course! The legend of the lantern guides this artisan in his daily work, thanks to that small spark that occasionally enables the moving of mountains and hillsides.
He welcomes you with enthusiasm into his very large cellar, where the vats are lined up waiting to be admired on one side, and the bottles are waiting to be tasted on the other.

Quelle belle découverte au milieu du port de Bruxelles. Faire du vin n'est pas donné à tout le monde et encore moins à ceux qui ne possède pas de vignoble. Thierry a tout de même relevé ce défi et réalisé un beau rêve en challengeant les nombreux obstacles qui existaient et existent. La dégustation bien évidemment est aussi originale que ses vins. Ce n'est pas un vigneron qui vous parle des ses terres et de ses climats, non, le focus et sur les jus et sur les méthodes de vinifications. Si vous voulez donc une autre aventure et découvrir ce seul chai bruxelleois, n'attendez-pas!

La dégustation était super, Geoffroy explique très bien, simplement, ne se prend pas de haut et répond gentiment à toutes les questions, même les questions très basiques. Très chouette expérience et vins délicieux!

Thank you very much for the excellent tasting provided for us, the Belgian Quaranvino group. We particularly enjoyed the different blends of grapes and I think the favourite of the group was the rosé, a type of wine which usually divided the group so well done !! Can’t wait to try the 2021 Soirée à l’Opera when it is bottled. Merci!
