De workshop in detail
Join Lola for a creative and relaxing team building day out of the office. Engage your team in a candle-making masterclass with Wax Atelier, where your team will learn the art of traditional beeswax candle making. This workshop is a perfect way to step away from screens and meetings, get hands-on, and do something fun together!
First, you will be introduced to Wax Atelier's story and shown how to create beautiful candles using the 'wax dipping' technique. After a quick demo, everyone will get to make their own set of candles, including dipped dining candles, hand-twisted candles, and birthday candles. You'll also learn to trim and over-dip your candles with a final colour for a unique finish. Your team will take home their handmade creations, wrapped beautifully by Lola, making it a memorable and rewarding experience for everyone.
Held in Walthamstow, the workshop is ideal for teams looking to bond in a relaxed, creative environment. It's a great opportunity to unwind together. Plus, once the workshop is done, there are plenty of local spots including another one of our artisans, Mother's Ruin bar, to keep the celebrations going!

Wax Atelier, is a London-based studio founded in 2017 by Lola Lely and Yesenia Thibault-Picazo. Known for their unique approach to craft and design, WAX Atelier specialises in handmade beeswax candles and wax products, all created with sustainability at the core. Using locally sourced materials, they produce their pieces in small batches with low-impact processes, staying true to their commitment to the environment.
At the heart of WAX Atelier is their passion for reimagining traditional techniques, from candle dipping to crafted textiles, all through the expressive medium of natural wax. This material’s rich versatility, scent, and tactile nature make it endlessly inspiring—it can be melted, reshaped, and reused, giving it an almost magical quality.
