The workshop in detail
During this workshop, you will be able to give your t-shirt a personal and original touch.
On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed with a drink to enjoy a nice moment. Charlène will take you through the main steps of the workshop.
The drum, the threads, the basic stitches: all will be explained with passion by the expert. You will find yourself immersed in a world of colours and textures, ready to personalise your t-shirt with style and elegance.
To choose your own design, you'll explore the different options offered by the host, but you can also decide to create your own design to brighten up the collar and sleeves of your t-shirt.
Then the magic begins ! You will take your needle and start embroidering, letting the threads slip through your fingers, creating a beautiful design that brings your t-shirt to life.
At the end of the workshop, you will leave with your own unique embroidered t-shirt, a new passion for embroidery and the desire to continue creating !

Meet Charlène
Textile designer
Charlène is a talented artist who has taken an amazing journey to achieve her dreams!
Her academic background reflects her commitment and passion for textiles: a Master's degree in Knitwear Design from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from the Haute École Francisco Ferrer, also in Brussels, and a BTS in Textile Design from the École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et du Textile in Roubaix.
After a difficult period in her professional life, the textile designer launched her own brand. Through her experience in the fashion industry, she became aware of the harmful effects of this industry on the environment.
She then chose to follow her lifelong passion for design, using only local and recycled materials to give life to her drawings, decorative objects, textiles and candles.
Her brand Contrastes art & design is named after the importance of contrasts in artistic creation. The designer believes that contrasts allow her to highlight a creation's different facets and evoke emotions in people.
Charlène uses her skills in textile design, styling, knitting and candle-making to create unique and inspiring creations. She is a curious, playful, creative and multi-talented person who likes to share her skills through workshops!

Premier atelier avec Wecandoo et on aurait pas pu rêver mieux ! Charlène est super pédagogue, elle prend le temps de tout nous expliquer avec beaucoup de patiente ! Je suis super heureuse du résultat et j'ai déjà hâte de revenir pour essayer ses autres ateliers !

Mon amie et moi-même avons participé à l'atelier de Charlene et sommes reparties totalement satisfaites, avec notre t-shirt brodé et plusieurs techniques de broderie en tête ! L'endroit est extrêmement chaleureux, Charlene est patiente, bienveillante et très sympathique! Nous retournerons pour davantage d'ateliers :)

Je suis arrivée ne sachant même pas enfiler un fil dans une aiguille et je suis repartie avec mon Tshirt personnalisé de mes mains, incroyable! Charlène est super accueillante, pédagogue et les 3h sont passées trop vite... Encore merci pour cette super initiation !

J'ai beaucoup apprécié l'après-midi chez Charlène pour apprendre la broderie. Sa pédagogie, sa patience et son entrain ont rendu l'atelier très agréable. Nous avons commencé par l'apprentissage de trois types de point, Elle nous accompagne ensuite dans l'élaboration de notre projet personnel et nous vient en aide en cas de difficultés quant à sa réalisation. C'est incroyable de pouvoir déjà repartir avec son premier t-shirt brodé soi-même en arrivant totalement novice.

Charlène is a wonderful host and teacher, and we were warmly welcomed at her place. Charlène explained us the basic stitches used in embroidery, and took the time to help us master them. When we decided on our designs, she assisted us along the way, so we could execute the ideas in the best possible way. She is very flexible, as I wanted to apply my design to a cap that I brought from home (see picture), instead of the t-shirt provided by her. This was no problem at all! Finally, she has a very sweet cat, which added even more cosiness. I wholeheartedly recommend this workshop!

J'ai adoré apprendre à broder ! Très sympathique et pédagogue, Charlène explique très bien et m'a aidée à reprendre quand je faisais des erreurs. J'ai appris à faire différents points de base en m'exerçant sur un tissu, puis nous avons choisi un motif à appliquer sur un t-shirt. Enfin, quel plaisir de rentrer avec son t-shirt personnalisé ! Merci pour tout !
