Learn to make a bag with Caroline

Join Caroline for a friendly workshop where you'll make your very first bag while learning the basics of sewing. 

The workshop will start with a hot drink, an opportunity to discover the different stages of production and choose the fabrics, piping and other elements that will personalise your creation. Caroline will guide you through the selection process to make sure your bag is exactly what you want.

Once you've made your choices, it's time to start sewing! You'll learn how to use the serger for a clean, solid finish, how to make sturdy straps and how to embellish with piping. You'll also make secure inner pockets with snaps or tailored fastenings, and a handy strap for hanging your keys.

Throughout the workshop Caroline will work with you to teach you professional techniques that are accessible to beginners. You'll leave with a unique bag of your own design and new skills to take your sewing projects forward with confidence!
