Immerse yourself in the world of ceramics with Cécile and live a unique experience with her. We're sure you'll be stunned by the wonderful art of raku, a magical firing technique!

Firstly, Cécile will explain the process of this ancient technique.

Next, you'll choose from a selection of two small bowls or two cups to glaze. Then, you'll prepare the kiln for raku firing. Next, it's time to start the firing process with Cécile, who will explain what to do step by step.

For the workshop to take place, the weather must also be on board. A dry day is paramount. The workshop can thus only take place if the conditions are met!

Fully immerse yourself in the life of a ceramist at this workshop and discover the art of raku firing! Check out the unique result raku firing has on ceramic pieces. The result is truly beautiful!

Workshop location

Cécile's studio is located in the Strombeek-Bever district and can be reached by bus.

This place is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Practical information

Pour participer à cet atelier, prévoyez de porter une tenue confortable adaptée à l’atelier et au nettoyage en fin d’atelier, type legging ou pantalon. Il est également préférable d’avoir les ongles courts et les cheveux attachés. Enfin, si vous le pouvez, pensez à apporter votre propre tablier.

Veuillez noter que lors de la cuisson des pièces, il existe un risque de casse. Ce sont les aléas du métier et l'artisan n'en est pas responsable.

Cécile nous a réservé un accueil très chaleureux dans son beau jardin. Elle nous a expliqué comment émailler les pots qui étaient déjà prêts, et après c'était à nous de jouer, au gré de nos envies et idées. J'ai passé un moment très agréable et intéressant. Et je suis très contente de mes réalisations. Je recommande vivement.

Ce fut une expérience unique et passionnante ! L’atelier nous plonge dans l’univers fascinant de cette technique japonaise, alliant tradition, créativité et surprise à chaque étape. Cécile expliquait avec passion et simplicité, rendant l’activité accessible même pour les débutants. Le moment de la cuisson et de l’enfumage était magique : voir les pièces se transformer sous nos yeux est un vrai spectacle. L’ambiance était conviviale et inspirante, et repartir avec une création personnelle réalisée en raku est une immense fierté. Merci!

Supertoffe workshop met een prachtig resultaat. Heel leuk dat je de potjes meteen naar huis kan nemen. Cécile is ook heel goed drietalig :). Onze groep bestond uit NL, FR en Engelsstaligen en Cécile kon iedereen in eigen taal perfect helpen :).

Merci beaucoup pour cet atelier. Très intéressant. Vous pouvez choisir 2 pots et les émailler. Elle explique très bien comment émailler et comment tout fonctionne. On peut observer comment la cuisson raku fonctionne. c'est aussi très agréable de discuter avec les autres participants et de repartir avec 2 beaux pots. merci.
