The workshop in detail
Enter the wonderful world of ceramics with Anna and discover the techniques of plate-making,the pinch technique and the coil technique to make your choice of two pieces: a small strainer, a large cup, a tea infuser,
an egg cup, a soap dish or a plant holder.
You will discover the production process from start to finish, from working the ball of clay to decorating your
pieces, during 2 sessions of 3 hours which take place over 2 consecutive days.
You will first get acquainted with the raw materials, stoneware and porcelain, and will move on to
learning different modelling techniques.
Once your pieces are made, Anna will fire and glaze them. You will be able to return to
pick up your creations at the workshop a few weeks later, when the firing is complete.
This workshop is available in several languages simultaneously. The craftsman will change the language of
the workshop based on the participants present.
The two sessions take place on two consecutive days.

Practical information
Pour participer à cet atelier, prévoyez de porter une tenue confortable adaptée à l’atelier et au nettoyage en fin d’atelier, type legging ou pantalon. Il est également préférable d’avoir les ongles courts et les cheveux attachés. Enfin, si vous le pouvez, pensez à apporter votre propre tablier.
Veuillez noter que lors de la cuisson des pièces, il existe un risque de casse. Ce sont les aléas du métier et l'artisan n'en est pas responsable.
Meet Anna
Ceramist
Anna is originally from the West of France and studied art at Estienne, Paris, where she specialised in typography. She then chose to perfect her motion design skills at the Gobelins, l'école de l'image.
She then moved to Brussels where she lived for 8 years, working in graphic design, brand concepts, visual identity and logotype creation, as a freelance designer.
After a few years, she decided to fly to North America for a road trip across the country ending at Vancouver. But it was in Toronto that she began working as a graphic designer for a year. There, she discovered ceramics, and it turned from a hobby into a real passion!
She then took several courses in Toronto and Montreal with experienced ceramists and then decided to return to Brussels, her adoptive city. Anna took things further and enrolled at the Academy of Arts in Brussels to hone her skills.
She now wants to teach others about what she experienced in Canada, about discovering clay as a material, the experience of calmness and feeling at peace with yourself as you work, the kind of creativity that you can develop, a passion that you can pass on to others.
She can't wait to welcome you to her pleasant, cosy workshop to teach you how to model stoneware and porcelain. Meet her!

Ces 2 séances de 3h avec Anna étaient extraordinaires. Nous avons découvert les différentes matières, testé deux techniques de poterie différentes, réalisé les modèles de notre choix, le tout dans une ambiance décontractée et bienveillante. Anna sait mettre chacun à l’aise et nous guider avec le sourire. Le temps a passé à une vitesse folle, vivement une prochaine session. :)

Super weekend dans l'atelier d'Anna. Le petit groupe permet à tout le monde d'être accompagné dans ses créations personnelles. Après ces deux sessions, je n'ai qu'une envie : de recommencer.
