Enter the wonderful world of ceramics with Anna and discover the technique of pinching asyou make your own pair of porcelain cups.

You will first get acquainted with the clay, stoneware, and will move on to learning the pinch technique.

This technique consists of shaping a ball of clay by creating a small nest with the thumb, like you're digging a hole. The clay should then be pinched to deepen it and form the sides of the cups by constantly turning the ball of clay in your hands. This will shape your pair of cups.

You will make two small porcelain spoons to go with your creations.

Once your pair of cups and spoons are made, Anna will fire and glaze them. You can then return to the workshop to pick up your creations a few weeks later, when the firing is finished.

This workshop is available in several languages simultaneously. The craftsman will change the language of the workshop based on the participants present.

L’atelier est accessible en transport en commun : arrêt Orban (bus 49 et 50, et tram 82). Depuis la gare du midi : 15 minutes à pied, 7 minutes en transports publics, 4 minutes en voiture. Parking payant de 9h à 18h du lundi au samedi. Gratuit le dimanche et les jours fériés

Practical information

To participate in this workshop, please wear comfortable clothing suitable for the activity and for cleanup at the end—leggings or trousers are ideal. It’s also recommended to have short nails and to tie back your hair. If possible, please bring your own apron.

Please note that there is a risk of breakage during the firing process. This is part of the nature of the craft, and the artisan cannot be held responsible.

Anna possède une grande expertise en céramique et nous a guidé·es avec beaucoup de précision. Grâce à son regard avisé, nous étions en confiance, même avec la porcelaine, si capricieuse.
