The workshop in detail

Caroline welcomes you in her beautiful creative space to share her passion and know-how!

The workshop will start with a theoretical part where you will discover the history, the technique and the chemistry of cyanotype.

Then, you will make several tests on small formats in order to familiarise yourself with the possibilities of this technique.

Then it's time for your photos! You will coat 6 sheets of A4 paper with a special solution. The negatives of the two photos previously sent to Caroline will then be used following a special procedure. Your papers will then be exposed in exposure boxes and developed in a quick and non-toxic way.

And, voilà! The magic will happen and your photos will appear.

You will leave with 6 A4 posters, 3 pictures and a lot of new knowledge about this magical technique!

You will be allowed two negatives and 2 tests per negative or 1 negative and 4 tests for this one

Workshop location

Caroline's studio is located in the Anderlecht district and can be reached by bus and metro (Aumale station).

This place is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Practical information

Pour cet atelier, pensez à envoyer 2 photos à Caroline en amont de l'atelier (idéalement 7 jours avant).

Pensez à prendre une farde A4 et de vieux papiers clairs pour ramener vos oeuvres en toute sécurité.

Evitez les vêtement trop clairs et prévoir peut-être un gilet en plein hiver si vous être très frileux.

Vous pourrez prendre des notes si vous le souhaitez, un petit "récap'" sera de même envoyé après la session

Kits disponibles après l'atelier au prix de 30 et 40 euros à la demande en fin d'atelier.

Je recommande à 100% cet atelier découverte cyanotype ! Caroline nous a chaleureusement accueillies dans son atelier à Anderlecht et a pris le temps de nous expliquer chaque étape de ce procédé tout en nous laissant la liberté d'essayer, se tromper et recommencer :) Le tout, pour un rendu final incroyable ! Bref, je n'ai pas vu le temps passer et je pense remettre cela à très bientôt :)

J'ai adoré cet atelier. Caroline aime partager, elle est vivante et dynamique et vous met directement à l'aise grâce à son accueil chaleureux. Un très chouette moment passé dans son atelier feutré avec de la bonne musique en prime. Ses explications sont claires et très complètes et j'ai adoré les anecdotes autour de l'histoire de la technique et des photographies d'antan. Voir les clichés choisis se développer a un côté magique. Je repars avec l'envie de revenir rapidement pour expérimenter encore davantage! :-)

Expérience fantastique avec Caroline, ses plantes, son atelier et sa gentillesse. Vrai coup de coeur quant à cette technique écolo, naturelle et avec laquelle on peut s'amuser à l'infini!
