The workshop in detail
PRIVATE WORKSHOP: enjoy a privileged moment with the artisan and benefit from personalised guidance to create a unique stool!
During this workshop, Olivier will teach you how to perform electrode and MIG welding as well as the finishing techniques. Once you have practised, you will be able to create a beautiful stool!
Olivier will share his know-how with you for a unique and personal creation. He will show you the main characteristics and constraints of the materials used (deformation, bending, assembly), you will learn to handle hand tools: electric tools and workshop machines and tracing tools (square, compass). You will be guided step by step from the design to the creation of your stool.
The workshop will end after you have assembled and finished your stool. You will go home with your creation and above all with a lot of new knowledge!
Bring something to eat at lunchtime and remember to bring closed shoes and appropriate clothing for the workshop (dirt...)

Meet Olivier
Ironworker
After 20 years as an optician, Olivier is now an accomplished ironworker!
During a training course, he really got hooked on metal work and ironwork. For two years, he continued to perfect his skills before setting up his own business to make a living from his passion!
Since 2016, Olivier has changed his "frame" and opened a cosy workshop in the heart of Schaerbeek.
Whether you want to create furniture or interior design, the possibilities are endless!
He kindly welcomes you to his shared workshop to pass on his passion and above all to allow you to reconnect with your creativity. A workshop in his company is also a way of rediscovering the traditional, yet rarely known, skill of ironwork.

Olivier a une approche pédagogique pleine de délicatesse et de bienveillance. Il ne fait pas tout à votre place, mais vous montre les bons gestes en tenant compte de votre niveau, du coup on ne se sent pas con quand on ne sait pas quelque chose et c’est quand même essentiel lorsqu’on vient apprendre. Olivier aime ce qu’il fait et transmet son art de façon légère et bienveillante. Pour moi, la gentillesse est primordiale dans ce genre de rencontres. J’ai A-Do-Re cette formation dont je suis rentrée avec la banane et un beau tabouret, réalisé majoritairement de mes mains ! Mais tout cela n’aurait pas eu lieu sans le magnifique cadeau de ma Belle-sœur Preferee. MERCI MURIEL !

800 mots, c'est trop peu... j'ai dû couper mon éloge :( Ambiante très bienveillante !!! J'ai A-DO-RE!!!! Olivier a de vraies qualités pédagogiques. On ne se sent pas con quand on ne sait pas et ça, c’est de l’or en barre quand paie pour apprendre, je trouve. Il ne fait pas à votre place, mais vous montre volontiers et communique de façon très utile. C'est pour cela justement que je préfère les formations aux cours théoriques. J'ai besoin de voir pour comprendre et apprendre. Mais quand on fait tout à ma place, je ne trouve pas cela marrant. Avec Olivier, j’ai la satisfaction d’avoir fait la majeure part moi-même. Vraiment, une super journée, une super chouette rencontre et une expérience à la hauteur de mes attentes, et même au-delà ! Merci beaucoup Olivier!!!
