Initiate yourself to woodcarving with Michel, a passionate woodworker.

The discovery of the area, some theoretical bases on woodworking and the tools used will start the session, you will go from the raw material to the finished product

You will learn how to handle saws, gouges, rasps and glass paper to make a pair of serving pieces. You will start by cutting them with a scroll saw, manual or electric, after a short test on scraps...

You will discover the importance of the grain of the wood, the direction of the stroke when cutting and understand the importance of all your gestures in working with wood, guided in the use of a few tools so that your spoon takes shape in your hands, chip by chip.

You will leave this workshop with new knowledge, but also with a beautiful spoon that you will be proud to use every day.

Michel est un excellent pédagogue. À l’écoute des participants, toujours disponible et prêt à donner des conseils personnalisés quand c’est nécessaire. Chacun est reparti avec une très belle cuillère, après avoir passé un agréable moment. C’est presque magique de voir une simple planche de bois se transformer, petit à petit, en cuillère sous nos mains. Une expérience agréable, inspirante et profondément humaine. Merci Michel!

Super atelier animé par Michel, qui est extrêmement sympathique, didactique et encourageant, ! Très chouette première expérience (pour moi) pour se familiariser avec le travail du bois, au moyen de machine (1: la scie à ruban) et d'outils divers Et c'est gratifiant de repartir avec sa cuillère :o) De plus le quartier (Marolles) est extrêmement agréable, ce qui ne gâche rien ;o) Bref, je recommande

Super expérience avec Michel ! Il nous a expliqué simplement mais avec pédagogie la méthode du travail du bois, tout en remettant dans le contexte l'histoire de l'atelier ou en nous parlant des différentes essences qu'il est possible de travailler. Et tout ça avec un maximum de pratique ! Je conseille cet atelier, et surtout n'hésitez pas à poser des questions plus largement sur le métier ou le travail du bois. On est sur un véritable expert !!

J'ai trouvé cet atelier de fabrication de cuillères en bois très intéressant et amusant ! Michel, l'artisan, est particulièrement sympathique et souriant. Il nous a non seulement expliqué en détail les techniques de menuiserie, mais aussi partagé des informations fascinantes sur la formation du bois dans les arbres, sa réaction aux changements de température et d'humidité, et les types de bois adaptés à différentes utilisations. Ce que j'ai le plus apprécié, c'est que l'atelier était très axé sur la pratique. Nous avions tout le matériel nécessaire et avons tout fait nous-mêmes, ce qui est rare et très enrichissant comparé à d'autres ateliers où l'on observe simplement l'artisan. Une expérience que je recommande vivement !
