The workshop in detail
Discover the world of home fragrances and scents with Lamia, who is full of passion for the art of perfumery! During this 2-hour workshop, Lamia's gentle and knowledgable approach will teach you how to make your own home fragrance.
Lamia will start by briefly explaining the history of perfumery and the olfactory pyramid.
She'll then introduce you to the perfumer's organ and the scents that will be used during the workshop by learning to smell odours blind.
Test out a selection of essences and perfume bases to fill your home with happy, soft, soothing, delicious, and invigorating notes... Test a variety of mixtures so see what suits your tastes. Finally, Lamia will show you how to weigh your final blend and fill your bottle like a true perfumer.
After a lovely time spent sharing the knowledge you’ve acquired and discussing the design of your 100 ml perfume, during which you will be able to enjoy a scented drink, you will leave with your unique and personalised home fragrance!
Workshop location
Lamia's workshop is located in the European district of Brussels, a stone's throw from Ambiorix Square. It can be reached by various bus lines (27-61-60-63) and the metro (Schuman station).

Meet Lamia
Perfumer
As a child, Lamia was highly sensitive and creative, and spent much of her time in the family garden, observing nature and taking care of its plants. Her first experience of olfactory pleasure ultimately dates back to the time when she started collecting colognes, which she mixed in order to create new scents.
After secondary school, however, she decided to study law and pursue a career as an international lawyer. It was much further down the line that she decided to listen to her heart and join the world of perfumes and fragrance.
She treated herself to a perfumery workshop and the rest is history!
Initially self-taught, she refined her skills with perfumers who were passionate about their art and also took courses in aromatherapy and olfactotherapy.
Art was always a major inspiration, so she combined her perfumery training with studies at the Royal Institute of Art History. Scents are an olfactory prism through which we perceive the world, and today Lamia combines her love of perfumes and creating authentic fragrances with passing on her expertise.

J'ai participé à l'atelier ce samedi 20/01, j'en suis ressortie ravie ! C'était la première fois et pas la dernière, Lamia est très agréable, pédagogue, intéressante ! Nous n'étions que trois et celà nous a permis d'être d'avantage concerné et à l'écoute. La façon dont Lamia partage son métier nous donne envie d'aller plus loin dans la découverte du monde du parfum. N'hésitez pas à partager un moment avec elle, vous en sortirez ravis.

Lamia nous a permis de passer un moment créatif, apaisant, bienveillant et médidatif. Un mélange parfait entre l'introduction sur l'histoire du parfum, les odeurs et la mise en pratique. L'endroit, l'environnement, l'atelier et la présence de Lamia permettent de passer un moment créatif seul ou accompagné.e. Je recommande ! :)

A beautiful experience. Lamia created a very inviting environment and gave us an introduction into the world of fragrances before the workshop. When creating our perfume, she gave us useful advice and guidance. I recommend this workshop to any perfume lover.

Je recommande vivement cet atelier ! Lamia est à l’écoute , au petit soin et très pro ! Ça été un plaisir visuel (endroit magnifique, petites fioles de senteurs partout ..) et olfactif ! Repartir avec sa propre création , supervisée par les conseils judicieux de Lamia , quel plaisir !!!! J’y retournerai c’est certain !!!

Je recommande vivement cet atelier. C'était un vrai plaisir de jouer au petit "chimiste" et d'arriver à un résultat si plaisant. L'atelier s'est déroulé dans un cadre intimiste et une ambiance chaleureuse. Lamia est pédagogue et est parvenue à nous faire découvrir (et apprécier davantage) ce monde passionnant qu'est la parfumerie. Riche de son expertise, elle a pris le temps de nous conseiller et de nous épauler quand nécessaire dans les différentes étapes de la création du parfum d'intérieur. Merci!

J'ai passé un super moment, durant lequel j'ai pu apprendre l'histoire du parfum et les familles d'odeurs. Ensuite j'ai pu créer un parfum qui me plaît. Lamia est très pédagogue et chaleureuse, je recommande l'atelier !
