The workshop in detail

  • 2h30
  • 2 to 6 participants
  • 15 years min.
  • Embark on a captivating journey into the enchanting world of gold leaf!

You'll be warmly welcomed by Coralie with a refreshing drink and snacks to set the mood.

For this workshop, you'll have the choice to embark on the gilding of your own objects in clay, ceramics or plaster (no bigger than a lemon), or select from the artist's collection for an additional fee.

Now, let's dive into the delicate and magical part of this workshop: gold leaf gilding. The expert will reveal the secrets of this fascinating technique that breathes life into even the most humble objects.

First, you'll carefully prepare your surfaces. A thorough cleaning and meticulous sanding will be necessary to ensure your objects are ready to receive their new golden attire.

Armed with a brush, you'll delicately apply a layer of adhesive to your objects, followed by the placement of gold leaf. With utmost care, you'll gently press the leaf onto your pieces. Then, using a soft brush, you'll lightly press to ensure the gold adheres perfectly to the surface.

And behold, your little treasures will already begin to shimmer!

Before you depart, you'll apply a protective varnish to preserve the radiant glow of your creations.

And what better way to conclude this workshop than by proudly carrying away your gilded treasures, destined to illuminate your everyday life!
