The workshop in detail
Create your own oasis of serenity by making up to two marbled candles!
On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by Charlene with a drink. You will then learn all about creating a candle, from the selection of components to the choice of design, including the marbling technique.
You can choose to make two small candles or one large candle. Beautiful designs will be available to guide you in your choices!
You start by weighing and melting the soy wax before gently pouring it into the mould and placing a wick inside.
Next comes the time for marbling! Choose your dyes and prepare the dipping basin. You then dip your candle in the water. You will be amazed by the unique effect of the colours on your candles!
At the end of the workshop, you will leave with one large or two small personalised marbled candles that will remind you of this unforgettable experience.

Meet Charlène
Textile designer
Charlène is a talented artist who has taken an amazing journey to achieve her dreams!
Her academic background reflects her commitment and passion for textiles: a Master's degree in Knitwear Design from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from the Haute École Francisco Ferrer, also in Brussels, and a BTS in Textile Design from the École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et du Textile in Roubaix.
After a difficult period in her professional life, the textile designer launched her own brand. Through her experience in the fashion industry, she became aware of the harmful effects of this industry on the environment.
She then chose to follow her lifelong passion for design, using only local and recycled materials to give life to her drawings, decorative objects, textiles and candles.
Her brand Contrastes art & design is named after the importance of contrasts in artistic creation. The designer believes that contrasts allow her to highlight a creation's different facets and evoke emotions in people.
Charlène uses her skills in textile design, styling, knitting and candle-making to create unique and inspiring creations. She is a curious, playful, creative and multi-talented person who likes to share her skills through workshops!

Ma maman et moi avons passé un agréable moment avec Charlène. Elle a répondu à toutes mes questions et transmet ses savoirs avec passion. Nous avons appris beaucoup de choses. Elle est agréable, douce et talentueuse. Je recommande cet atelier.

Ateliers réalisé avec ma fille de 13 ans. Charlene exploite et accompagne en douceur, avec clarté. Elle laisse le temps d’assimiler les techniques et valorise toutes les créations. Une chouette découverte! Charlène est une personne chaleureuse, gentille et incroyablement talentueuse. Elle prend le temps de vous expliquer les choses, partage sa passion avec amour. On a passé un très chouette moment ou on s’est amusé. Si vous chercher quelque chose de different et apaisant, je vous conseille vraiment de faire cet atelier!

Tres chouette atelier . Charlène transmet tres bien ses connaissances. Peut être juste une différence entre le timing annoncé 3h et le réel . Merci pour cette belle découverte

Cet atelier était vraiment fantastique ! Pendant 2h30, j'ai appris de nouvelles techniques, expérimenté avec des couleurs et des textures, le tout dans une atmosphère bienveillante et amusante. En prime, je suis repartie avec deux magnifiques bougies. Un grand merci à Charlène !
