The workshop in detail

  • 2d
  • 2 to 12 participants
  • 15 years min.
  • This workshop takes place over two sessions: a first 3-hour session focused on modeling, and a second session focused on decoration.

During the first session, once you've entered their workshop, Charlotte  will introduce you to the world of ceramics, the different techniques for working with clay, and the materials they use.

After this quick presentation, it will be time to get started. With the advice of the ceramist, you will complete all the steps in creating your own tableware pieces. You will shape several objects: a cup, a bowl, a plate, and a ceramic dish. Step by step, Charlotte will guide you in mastering the techniques of slab-building, coiling, and pinching.

During the second session, you will learn the basics of glaze application techniques.

At the end of these two sessions, you will have created beautiful pieces from A to Z, ready to accompany you in your daily life!

The ceramist will take care of firing the pieces. You will be notified as soon as you can pick up your pieces at the workshop.

The price of the workshop includes both sessions as defined in the description. Booking on the Wecandoo website allows you to register only for the first session, but it also includes the date of the second session. The first class takes place on a Saturday morning, and the second class takes place on a Tuesday evening. So be sure to pay attention to both dates announced in the calendar.

    Meet Charlotte

    Ceramists

Having made ceramics since she was a child, Charlotte has turned her passion into her work!

During her studies in nutrition and food, she rediscovered her childhood passion during a ceramic and molding module in food design. She then decided to restart ceramics classes with her friend Laura.

After a few months of lockdown, they decided to take the leap and equipped themselves to launch their own ceramic workshop. Their shared love for craftsmanship led them to create BISKUI, their very own ceramic workshop where they think, draw, and make their pieces.

Patient and dedicated, Charlotte will guide you step by step in the creation of unique pieces and will share with you her passion for ceramics!

Merci.
