  • Dive into the shades of indigo alongside Martine!

She will joyfully welcome you to her beautiful workshop upon your arrival. You'll start by taking time to get to know each other over a drink and a tour of the premises, before sitting down with her for an introduction to plant-based dyeing. With Martine's specialty being indigo, a special focus on this hue will be made during this theoretical phase.

Then it's your turn to play! Guided by the artisan, you'll first prepare the fabric. The plan for this session? A stunning silk stole (90x90cm) that you will dye in your favoruite shade of indigo.

Martine will then teach you step by step the various stages of the itajime shibori technique, which will create lovely patterns on your piece. She will also offer valuable advice, ensuring a perfect result!

You will finally leave with your magnificent stole, which you'll be eager to wear as a memento of this delightful creative experience!

    Meet Martine

    Dyer

Trained as a stylist and pattern maker, Martine specialises in materials and colour.

Her professional journey follows the theme of textiles: designing fabrics, creating children's clothing for major brands, developing an organic cotton sector, collaborating with a weaving and knitting factory... She even creates her own brand of plant-based dyes on organic cotton to support vulnerable families in Bombay.

In 2015, Martine embarked on a new entrepreneurial project, which she named Indigo Blue Creation. Committed to ecology and slow fashion, she offers unique designs in plant-based dyes, made from natural materials sourced from local weavers. She also recycles old linens.

Passionate and educational, Martine now aims to pass on the keys to her expertise through workshops, while raising awareness about the ecological and social issues of the textile industry.
