The workshop in detail
Welcome to Dirk's big workshop!
During this day, you will learn about woodworking while creating your own homemade furniture.
After a shared moment, creative ideas will arise in the exchange. You will choose what you want to build : a selfmade furniture, a game, a chair, etc.
Dirk will help you turn your idea into wood throughout the day using different machinery like the circular saw, the band saw or the sander.
Experience or skills are not required, Dirk will help you step by step on your way. So no worries !
After this full day of learning, you will proudly bring your creation home!

Meet Dirk
Woodworker
Dirk succeeded in bringing together his passion as a furniture maker and his interest in human beings.
From his years of experience as a social assistant, facilitator and trainer in various social organizations, he gained experience in empowering people. He knows how to appeal to people's strengths and how to get them to participate in the process.
Ten years ago, he took an additional course and started working as a furniture maker. He is inspired by an ecological philosophy and wants to contribute to a sustainable local economy. From a non-judgmental attitude, he strives to stimulate people toward the development of self-acceptance.
He is looking forward to welcoming you into his Hou’tHart workshop, where you will have the opportunity to share and discover through stimulating your mind and creativity. From there the name Hou’tHart.
Challenge lover, Dirk works in a very big hall with many other craftsmen. All share their machinery and work with wood.

Ik heb een superleuke en leerrijke dag achter de rug. Dirk en zijn sidekick hielpen ons met alles. Ik ging naar huis met een zelfgemaakte tuinbank: dat had ik nooit durven dromen!
