The workshop in detail
Welcome to Christof's lovely workshop for an immersion into the world of sculpture!
After a short presentation of the artisan's workshop, he will take the time to explain the theory behind alabaster. White or cream coloured, this material is ideal for sculpture. It will give a brilliant finish to your creation.
Christof will also introduce you to the sculptor's tools that he uses on a daily basis, such as scissors, rasps and riffles of all kinds!
Armed with your new knowledge, you will choose the design of your creation, either a small figurative sculpture or a candle jar.
Then, stroke by stroke, you will learn how to give shape to your creation thanks to Christof's good advice.
After a few finishing touches, you will leave with your own unique alabaster creation!

Meet Christof
Sculptor Wood and Stone
Christof is an artisan and artist with a passion for sculpture.
He trained for 4 years in drawing, painting and graphic design at a German "Hochschule". He then worked with young people in schools to help them discover their creativity and create artisanal and artistic works.
At the same time, he joined various academies near Antwerp and continued to practice his art in realistic drawing, body drawing, lithography and linocut.
After years of drawing, he returned to one of his formative passions: sculpture. Today, wood and stone are transformed under his hands!
He welcomes you with enthusiasm in his pretty wooden cabin to transmit his passion!

Heel erg bedankt voor deze informatieve workshop. Niet alleen praktisch, maar ook leerzaam over de herkomst van steen, waarom kleur, etc.. Het is erg leerzaam om met steen te werken. Het is een prachtig materiaal dat makkelijk te bewerken is, het lijkt moeilijk maar dat is het niet. Danku

Wat een ervaring !!! Een warm ontvangst, goede deskundige uitleg en geen enkele vraag is teveel. Na onze vrije keuze van steen werden alle werkmaterialen vlot naar boven gehaald en konden we beginnen. Steeds onder een toeziend oog :-) Na het werk kreeg iedereen er nog een houten staandertje bij. TOP!!!! Een echte aanrader !!

Très chouette expérience :) Christof accueille dans son petit atelier et chez lui, pour une pause café :) Il sait être présent comme il faut : proposer des outils ou piste en fonction de se vers quoi on va et se faire discret quand il sent qu'on est en processus créatif !
