The workshop in detail
Welcome to Tina's studio for a full immersion in the world of porcelain!
This passionate ceramist will first give you a short theoretical introduction to ceramics and the creation process of porcelain objects.
Then, you will learn to prepare the porcelain to remove all the air bubble. You'll be able to choose the design and the colour of your future earrings.
At that point, it will be time for modelling. Tina will accompany you, step by step, in the creation of two pairs of earrings.
Once the earrings are finished, Tina will take care of the glazing and firing. You will be able to pick up your creations a few wees later!
You will be the proud owner of two unique pairs of earrings to wear casually or for special events.
This workshop can be animated in English, Dutch and German.

Practical information
Pour participer à cet atelier, prévoyez de porter une tenue confortable adaptée à l’atelier et au nettoyage en fin d’atelier, type legging ou pantalon. Il est également préférable d’avoir les ongles courts et les cheveux attachés. Enfin, si vous le pouvez, pensez à apporter votre propre tablier.

Meet Tina
Ceramist
After graduating from the University of Applied Arts Vienna and deepening her ceramic skills at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, Tina has been experimenting with porcelain for several years in her studio in Antwerp.
Calm and passionate, she is currently focusing on creating contemporary wheel-thrown, high fired porcelain tableware. Although all her creations are thin and have a fragile appearance, every piece is extremely strong and therefore suitable for daily use; she is continually looking for an aesthetic design with a functional approach.
She is detail-oriented and is ready to show people how porcelain is made.
Right in the historic centre of Antwerp, her studio is actually also a chocolate boutique. Between the delicious chocolate aromas and Tina's creation, you definitely will not be disappointed.

The workshop on porcelain earring-making was fantastic. I enjoyed the process and learnt the know-how. The Artisan Tina was very friendly and I had fun.

We zijn heel vriendelijk en goed ontvangen door Tina. Ze nam ons mee in het proces van oorbellen maken, toonde veel voorbeelden en gaf duidelijke uitleg. Tijdens het boetseren zelf heeft ze erg veel geholpen. Ze zorgt nadien voor een piek fijne afwerking van de oorbellen waardoor we allemaal twee paar mooie juwelen (en wat extra's) kregen. Heel leuke ervaring.
