The workshop starts with a warm welcome, where everyone can settle in with a hot drink in a relaxed atmosphere that encourages discussion. Sonia, your teacher, will then introduce you to the basics of pottery and the different stages involved in creating a mug. You'll discover modelling techniques such as the pinched bowl or the plate technique, which will allow you to create a mug to your own personal taste.

You'll be able to choose from a wide range of shapes and styles to inspire you to create a piece that's just right for you. Once the mug is modelled, it's time to personalise it with slip decoration to add unique colours and patterns.
