Join Esther for a practical and accessible workshop where you'll learn how to alter your clothes by hand, without the need for a sewing machine. Whether you want to adjust a hem, shrink a size or repair a damaged garment, this workshop will give you the essential skills to creatively maintain and transform your wardrobe.

The workshop will take place in a comfortable setting, in a concept store/café that combines a selection of designer and vintage pieces. From the outset, a round table discussion allows everyone to share their sewing level and expectations so that the advice can be tailored to your needs.

Each participant brings two or three garments to be altered. With Esther's help, you'll learn how to use different hand sewing techniques to alter or repair them. If some garments cannot be repaired, upcycling alternatives will be suggested to give them new life in another form.

At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with your transformed garments and new skills to continue altering and customising your wardrobe on your own. A fun and creative way to adopt more sustainable fashion!

Workshop location

The studio is located in the heart of the 11th arrondissement, a 5-minute walk from the Parmentier stop (line 3) or a 4-minute walk from the Goncourt stop (line 11).

This place is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Un super atelier convivial et pédagogique où Esther_ grand merci à sa belle humeur et à sa pédagogie- a relevé le défi de me réconcilier avec une aiguille et même une machine à coudre ! Les 2h passent bien vite, je vais essayer maintenant d'appliquer les conseils et de reproduire les exercices vécus. A bientôt pour poursuivre le fil de cette découverte !
