Meet The BIGH Farm team.

The BIGH Brussels Aquaponic Farm is a modern farm in the heart of Brussels! 

 It is made up of a high-tech 2,000 m² greenhouse and a 2,000 m² outdoor garden on the roof of the Foodmet market, on the famous site of the Anderlecht Abattoir. 

 They have developed a state-of-the-art aquaponics system, allowing fish, fruits, vegetables and herbs to thrive in a closed, zero-waste loop. The farm team uses the latest sustainable technologies to capture energy losses from the building, recycle rainwater from the site, and harness renewable solar energy. Their diverse locally grown products are distributed via local food networks and to restaurant owners across Brussels. 

 The members of the BIGH Farm are excited to show you the inner workings of an urban farm. After all, if we want to change our consumption habits, we have to start at the start: food production.
