  • Welcome to Martine's colourful world!

She will happily welcome you to her bright workshop upon your arrival. You'll start by taking time to get to know each other over a drink and a tour of the premises, before sitting down with her for an introduction to plant-based dyeing. Martine's specialty is indigo, and this colour will be particularly focused on during this theoretical phase.

Then it's your turn to get hands-on! Guided by the artisan, you will first prepare the fabrics (linen and cotton), which need to be moistened. Martine will then walk you through the various steps of setting up the indigo vat: preparing the ingredients, mixing, heating the vat...

You will then be able to create your own colour swatch, which will help you master this unique form of dyeing. All that's left is for you to choose your favorite shades and apply them to three bulk bags, provided by the artisan!

Finally, you will leave with your beautiful creations, entirely made by you from start to finish, bringing a touch of colour and originality to your everyday life!

    Dyer

Trained as a stylist and pattern maker, Martine specialises in materials and colour.

Her professional journey follows the theme of textiles: designing fabrics, creating children's clothing for major brands, developing an organic cotton sector, collaborating with a weaving and knitting factory... She even creates her own brand of plant-based dyes on organic cotton to support vulnerable families in Bombay.

In 2015, Martine embarked on a new entrepreneurial project, which she named Indigo Blue Creation. Committed to ecology and slow fashion, she offers unique designs in plant-based dyes, made from natural materials sourced from local weavers. She also recycles old linens.

Passionate and educational, Martine now aims to pass on the keys to her expertise through workshops, while raising awareness about the ecological and social issues of the textile industry.
