Your very own coffee or tea mug

The workshop in detail

  • 2h
  • 15 years min.
  • 2 to 8 participants
  • Up to 8 people for a privatization
  • Join ceramic artist Bora for an immersive workshop where you'll create your very own coffee or tea mug! Perfect for beginners and pottery enthusiasts alike, this experience begins with a warm introduction to Bora's brand, Doppiocotto, and a brief history of his unique approach to ceramics. You'll then learn the basics of hand-building techniques, focusing on how to work with clay to create functional and beautifully crafted pieces.

Bora will give a live demonstration of how to shape and form a mug, showing you the step-by-step process of transforming raw clay into a work of art. With Bora's guidance, you'll use these techniques to make your own mug by hand, experimenting with shape, texture and design. Once the basic shape is created, you'll have the chance to get creative, adding handles, intricate textures and personal touches to make the piece truly yours.

Once you have shaped your mug, you can decorate it using the underglazes provided to add colour and life to your creation. When you're happy with your design, hand it over to Bora for glazing and firing. Your finished mug will be ready for collection in approximately three weeks or, for an additional fee, you can have it sent directly to you.

This workshop is a great opportunity to relax, get creative and take home a piece of pottery that you've made entirely by hand!
