Make a mosaic bird for your garden with Sue

Join Sue at her seaside studio in Shoreham Port, Southwick and learn the skills of mosaic making. With over 15 years experience, Sue has worked with some of the world's leading mosaic artists and is keen to share her knowledge with you.

In this workshop you'll create a mosaic bird for your garden. The session will start with an introduction to Sue and her studio. Sue will explain the basics and help you choose a bird shape from a selection of prepared shapes.

Sue's studio has a wide variety of materials including coloured tiles, glass nuggets and different shapes and textures. She will guide you through the options and help you choose the pieces for your mosaic.

Sue will then demonstrate how to use the mosaic tools and techniques to cut and shape the pieces. With her guidance you'll begin to assemble your mosaic bird. Whether you're new to mosaics or have some experience, Sue's guidance will help you throughout the process.

At the end of the workshop, Sue will explain the grouting process. You can choose to have her grout your bird after the workshop, ready to collect, or you can take the grout and instructions to finish it at home. If you prefer, Sue can send the finished bird to you for a small additional charge.
