Marie brings the craft of tufting directly to your venue in this artisan on the go workshop. Each participant will learn the fundamentals of tufting and have the opportunity to craft their very own wall decoration measuring 30x40cm.
Marie, a talented artist with a passion for sustainability, will guide you through the process, providing expert guidance and sharing her valuable techniques. With her motto of "the more colours, the better," you'll have the freedom to let your imagination run wild and create a unique piece that reflects your personal style.
Using natural wool, Marie ensures her creations are not only visually stunning but also environmentally friendly and long-lasting. From wall decorations to rugs and stools, her work showcases the versatility of tufting.
The workshop will last for 2 hours, giving you ample time to immerse yourself in this exciting craft. All materials will be provided, including a white standard frame that you can decorate to your heart's content.
Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience in tufting, this workshop is designed to inspire and elevate your skills. Marie's supportive approach and expertise will empower you to bring your creative visions to life.
Note: The workshop is offered in both English and Dutch, ensuring a comfortable experience for all participants.

After studying interior architecture, Marie embarked on a transformative two-year trip around the world. Seeking a new path, she delved into management and spent a year in an office in 2021. However, the corporate world left her unfulfilled, and her longing for creative work led her to briefly explore the culinary arts in a restaurant kitchen. It was during this time that she stumbled upon a tufting workshop and discovered her innate talent for this unique craft.
With a background in drawing and a newfound love for tufting, Marie's artistic prowess soared to new heights. Her artistic philosophy is simple yet vibrant: "the more colours, the better." Her creations showcase a harmonious blend of shades, patterns, and textures that breathe life into every piece she crafts.
Marie is a people person who thrives in collaborative environments. She values the exchange of ideas and enjoys working alongside fellow artists. Currently, she is meticulously developing her business plan in the realm of tufting, aiming to establish herself as a prominent figure in the industry. Since November 2022, she has found her creative haven in a shared studio located in the artistic neighbourhood of Borgerhout.
Sustainability lies at the heart of Marie's artistic choices. She exclusively works with natural wool, an eco-friendly and durable material. Her commitment to using sustainable materials not only contributes to a healthier environment but also enhances the beauty and longevity of her creations. From captivating wall decorations to luxurious rugs and charming stools, Marie's imagination knows no bounds.
In addition to her creative endeavours, Marie opens her studio doors for special open atelier days. These events offer a unique opportunity for enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the world of tufting.
