Join Eugénie and her team in the world of visible mending !

In this workshop you'll learn how to give your garments a new lease of life by artistically concealing holes and rips.

Starting with an introduction to the basic techniques, you'll work on samples to experiment with chessboard darning.

Once you've chosen the thread colours you like, you'll stitch your fabric in a precise motion, alternating thread passes over and under.

You'll also benefit from the advice of the artisans throughout the workshop.

Finally, you'll leave with your own creation, ready to use this technique on your favourite pieces!

Workshop location

The "Résilientes" studio is located in the heart of Paris, in "L'Alternative" recycling centre, 1 minute walk from the Sentier metro station and less than 10 minutes from Les Halles.

This place is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

L’activité emmaüs m’attire toujours, je fréquente aux magasins et des ventes spéciales. J’ai par hasard trouvé un poste Instagram du ressorcerie l’alternative (Paris) qu’il y aurait un atelier de reprise visible (darning), que j’avais souhaité apprendre. Un samedi matin, Laurence nous a appris la technique basique pas à pas, dans une ambiance tranquille. Pour ce premier cours nous avons pratiqué sur un coupon de maille, mais pour le cours suivant on pourrait apporter ses vêtements. J’ai hâte de réparer mes vêtements ! Merci Laurence, merci Ressorcerie l’alternative !

Super atelier avec Laurence. Des explications super claires, on repart avec l’envie (et les compétences !) de s’y remettre très vite. Tout ça dans une très bonne ambiance. Je recommande !

Un chouette moment ! Pas vu passer ces 2h d’atelier, tellement concentrée et tout ça dans une bonne ambiance Je suis vraiment contente du résultat et j’ai hâte de m’exercer et revenir montrer mes progrès et passer a nouveau un bon moment Merci pour tout c'était parfait !
