Make your own pottery salt pig

Welcome to Gioia and Franco's pottery studio !With Gioia's vast experience and Franco's innovative approach, you have come to the right place to explore ceramics.

As you enter, they will explain the history of clay and ceramics, from ancient techniques to modern methods. This will give you a full understanding of this enduring art form.

Then it's time to start working with clay. Starting with a basic pot, you will learn how to use the wheel and feel the clay. Under the guidance of Gioia and Franco, you will learn how to mix the clay to the right consistency.

You will then move on to mastering the wheel, where you will sculpt and shape the clay into your desired form, such as a pottery salt pig.

After shaping, the clay is dried to the ideal consistency for further refinement and detail.

Under the watchful eye of Gioia and Franco, you'll learn various decoration techniques.

Finally, you will refine the shape, smooth out imperfections and add the finishing touches before your pottery salt pig is fired to complete its transformation. You can collect your finished piece three weeks later.
