The workshop in detail
To bring a soft light into your home, there is nothing better than a beautiful felted wool lamp...
During this 3-hour workshop, Stefanie will accompany you into her world: wool work!
You will start by discovering the workshop and the history of the craftswoman. She will give you a short theoretical introduction on her commitments and her techniques for working with wool.
Then, you will select the wool of your choice. The wool used comes from Stefanie's parents' blacknose sheep farm. Several colours will be offered thanks to the dyeing skills of the craftswoman!
With your wool in hand, you will learn how to position the wool on a template. Stefanie will guide you so that the result is harmonious. You will have to test, repeat and improve the positioning of the wool fibres of different colours!
Next, you will work on the so-called "wet felting". This is a technique that Stefanie will share with you with a lot of pedagogy and passion.
You will leave this workshop with your own felted wool lamp, to light up your home in all elegance.

Meet Stefanie
Felt Specialist
Stefanie's passion and artistic practice is closely linked to the history of her favourite material: the wool of her family's Blacknose sheep in Switzerland! As a by-product of sheep breeding, Stefanie is interested in wool and is passionate about her work!
The artisan felt-maker has studied and worked with textiles from every angle. She has worked as a stylist for major luxury houses such as Balenciaga, Akris and Hermès, where she also developed her embroidery skills.
It was during a 6-month artist residency in Mexico that she became interested in felting and natural dyeing, her two current loves! She perfected her art there and once back in Belgium.
Committed and passionate, Stefanie started both the artistic creation of felted wool and the organisation of workshops to share her passion and allow the curious to discover the ancestral work of wool!
