Embrace the opportunity to discover an original workshop and to create an original musical instrument with Ludovic!
To start off, Ludovic will show you around his workshop and explain a few notions of musical ceramics.
You will then prepare the clay and model a small ball. Then, still with Ludovic's guidance, you will hollow it out to form the resonance box with the pinching technique.
Let's get creative! Let your imagination run wild, as all shapes are allowed!
Then it will be time to move on to the engobe and the decoration.
You will be able to collect your superb ocarina a few weeks later, after the firing!

Meet Ludovic
Instrumental Ceramist
Ludovic is a saxophonist. He has always performed in concerts all over the world and shares his passion for music with young and old.
His mother is a ceramist, and since 2020 he has spent a lot of time in the family workshop and has developed a passion for ceramics! He then started to model instruments and has not stopped since!
Very technical, instrumental ceramics cannot be improvised! Ludovic understands, step by step, the resonance of the clay and how to produce the most beautiful sounds. He also meets other ceramists who specialise in this field.
This artisan ceramist creates, among other things, ocarinas, flutes, udus, xylophones and musical sculptures.
Ludovic is eager to share his passion for instrumental ceramics and to see the emotion it can bring to participants.
