Dive into the world of fashion design and join Ftouma in her workshop located in Brussels.

This very complete workshop will take place over 2 consecutive days of 7 hours each. You will create your item of clothing, in this case a jacket, from scratch, but that' s not all!

First, Ftouma will guide you to her favourite Brussels addresses to find beautiful fabrics. She will then share with you her tips for hunting like a pro! You will choose the fabrics to create a harmony. Ftouma will also initiate you to the basics of colorimetry.

Then, you will learn how to measure yourself, prepare the fabric, trace and cut according to the model. Then, it's time to get down to business! Ftouma will teach you her techniques for the pinning, sewing and overlocking stages.

Step by step, your jacket will start to take shape. Ftouma will accompany you throughout the creation process.

    Fashion Designer

Ftouma is an accomplished fashion designer based in the beautiful city of Brussels.

She studied fashion design at Saint-Luc before completing two internships with Belgian designers.

After her training, she launched a denim brand ' NjØrd Jeans ' Made in Belgium and 100% organic cotton.

On her return from Lyon with a master's degree in international solidarity and cooperation and development, she launched Sew For Life, a fashion and design school for people of migrant origin. The aim? Economic autonomy for women. A project that she implemented in collaboration with the architectural firm LabNorth and 51n4e, and which takes place in a collective 'Maison Nord Huis' in the magnificent former Train Museum at the Gare du Nord.

She initiated a pilot project in Greece during her engagement with the Norwegian NGO Drâpen I Havet in the refugee camp Skaramanga before repeating the project in Brussels. At that time, she started to question herself on how to make society more inclusive and to exchange our knowledge and know-how.

In Belgium, she also develops a brand of upcycling clothes and proposes timeless basics.

Dynamic and caring, Ftouma welcomes you to share her passion for textiles in a former museum that has been rehabilitated as an arts and crafts centre.
